About ISTE
The Indian Society of Technical Education is a national, non-profit making professional body, registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into “Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technical education in the country. Being the Only national organization of educators in the field of engineering and technology, ISTE is being represented by various Technical Committees and Boards formed by the Central Government. The Ministry of Human Resources Development, AICTE, DOE, DST and the State Governments have also been involving ISTE in many of their important programs and activities relating to the technical education.
OUR COLLEGE IS AN INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER OF ISTE (IM 1079). We have a ISTE Local Chapter (KA099) with more than 90 staff as members, ISTE Students Chapter (KA56) with more than 1400 students as its members from various branches of engineering studying in various semesters.
